Biography: Robert Johns has over 30 years’ experience of statutory social work across the full range: youth justice, mental health, disability, vulnerable adults and as a children’s guardian. He has taught applied social work law and social policy in higher education since 1986 on both professional qualifying and postqualifying courses. He led the social work academic team at the University of East London from 2003-2010. He is the author of Using the Law in Social Work and Social Work, Social Policy and Older People both published by Learning Matters.
