This website provides information on how disability has been represented in moving image from the earliest days. The approach is from a disability equality and human rights perspective, which draws on the collective thinking of the Disabled People's Movement. Includes sections on:
Ways of thinking about disability; Teaching with moving image media; Treatment of disabled people in moving image media; Activities and lesson plans, as well as links to further resources. Will be of use to those wishing to explore the use of the moving image in relation to disability or more generally - also to those with an interest in approaches to teaching about disability.
